biography
Avril has a BA Hons degree in Printed Textiles having studied at Camberwell School of Art in London and John Moores University in Liverpool. After graduating she worked as a freelance textile designer.Havana has proved an enduring reference for Avril's work, with its Caribbean colour, musical energy and crumbling Spanish colonial buildings mixed with a certain lamenting sadness. She has also begun to explore her family roots and connections to Cuba through painting.
Avril works in a studio at her home in Brighton.
